Work is in progress on new hotel in Manchester
Work on the construction of a new hotel in Manchester is moving forward at a rapid pace, which means that the hotel should be ready to open by the scheduled date.
This hotel will be called the Dakota Manchester Airport and it will contain a total of 154 rooms. These will be spread across seven floors and guests will also be able to enjoy a range of other amenities. They include a brasserie-style grill and a destination bar.
The hotel has been designed with a modern look, but it is intended to provide luxurious accommodation. KPP Architects is the company that came up with the design.
The building firm that is responsible for delivering the project is GMI Construction Group. The company has already successfully built one Dakota hotel within the city. The chain is owned by Evans Property Group.
At the moment, the base slabs for the building have been completed. Work on the frame made of reinforced concrete is currently ongoing. It is hoped that the finished hotel will be a premier choice for both international and domestic travellers.
The chosen location for it is close to Bailey Lane, inside the MIX campus. This is a hub for manufacturing and science firms covering a 60-acre site. Once the hotel is ready to open for business, it should provide employment for over 150 people in the city.
The expected opening date is at some point during next year.
