Laser cut lettering

Lettering is a form of signage that consists of individually manufactured letters that are mounted to a chosen surface. They can be manufactured from different materials and in different styles. What all kinds of lettering have in common though is their simple but stylish visual impact.

One of the methods commonly used is laser cutting. This involves making each letter out of metal, wood or acrylic by cutting it with a high-powered laser. The laser is controlled by a computer, as an alternative to cutting letters with a physical blade.

If the lettering is for interior mounting, acrylic is generally used due to its flexibility. However, for exterior or high-end lettering, aluminium is commonly opted for. This is durable and can be given a matte or gloss finish.
