Manchester office space development gets underway
Building work has now started on a major redevelopment project in the heart of Manchester, which will see an existing block turned into state-of-the-art office spaces.
The King’s House block is situated in King Street West, Manchester. It measures 38,000 sq ft and is located within the wider regeneration zone of St Mary’s Parsonage.
EPR Architects created the designs for the new office spaces and the construction is being carried out by Amspec. The finished project is set to provide companies with a total of 12 spaces that are suitable for staff of up to 110 members.
Amenities that will be included alongside the main office spaces include break out areas, booths with telephones and kitchens. All of the offices will be completely furnished and equipped with everything needed for modern working.
There will also be a lounge area on the fourth floor that is open to everyone renting the office spaces and a self-contained space for working on the bottom floor. The offices will be between 1,000 sq ft and 10,000 sq ft in size and the entire project is set to cost £13 million.
This development will seek to meet energy efficiency guidelines too through enhancing insulation, as well as the installation of heat pumps and a system for recovering heat mechanically.
