Construction work on Big Manchester Bake begins

Construction work has now started on the Big Bakes venue that is scheduled to open its doors to the public in Manchester later this autumn.

The company responsible for the construction is Select Interiors (Cheshire) Ltd, and the completed venue will measure 4,700 square feet.

As with the other Big Bakes across the country, the Manchester attraction will feature a marquee with baking tent. This is where guests can bake their own delicacies during 90-minute stints, supervised by one of the professional Head Bakers.

Among the other amenities that Select Interiors is in the process of building within the venue at the moment are the restaurant, a bar that is themed around cakes, a drinks garden and hospitality areas.

When it opens, it will be the fourth venue that Big Bakes has set up in the UK. It has two in the capital and a Birmingham site. The chosen location for the Manchester one is 4 New Bailey, which is right in the heart of the city.

Select Interiors (Cheshire) Ltd founder Carl Brown told a source that the company was excited to be working on the project, adding:

“Now the build has started, we have just a few weeks until completion, and the finish on the fit out will be of premium quality, and one that we are proud to work on.”

It is due for its grand opening on Friday, 11 October.
