New homes to be built near Manchester
Dozens of brand new homes are set to be built at a location not far from Manchester, which will represent the latest phase in a larger housing development.
Plans for the construction of these homes were given the nod by Trafford Council, with 79 in total due to be built. The chosen location for them is Partington, which is around 10 miles away from Manchester. The work will be the next phase in a scheme that is called Heath Farm, which is set to deliver around 600 homes when it is complete.
The homes that will be constructed during this phase will be a mix of semi-detached and terraced ones. They will include four-, three- and two-bedroom properties and they have been carefully designed.
Among the features they will have are canopies or porches behind archways made of brick. This will capture the look of homes from the 1930s, while also subtly updating it.
The financing for Heath Farm has been provided by Homes England and the developers behind it are L&Q and Vistry Group. In addition to the homes, it will include Heath Farm Skills Academy. This is a programme that will teach local people the skills needed for the construction industry.
Vistry Manchester Managing Director Matt Parkes told About Manchester that:
“We’re delighted to have secured planning approval and look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality homes for the Partington community.”
