Manchester hotel to unveil new restaurant on roof

A luxury hotel in Manchester is all set to unveil a brand new restaurant on the roof, which is part of an extension to the building.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester opened for the first time last year, but the owners have always been planning this extension. They have added another floor to the building, which will take the total to 14. The rooftop eatery will be located on this floor and will go by the name Sistermoon.

The cuisine on offer will mostly be BBQ creations from Southeast Asia, and the head chef is to be Sam Grainger. He will be working with Justin Crawford and Luke Cowdrey on preparing the restaurant menu. Those who decide to try it out are being promised that the dishes will be authentic to Thailand. Grainger reportedly learned about them when he worked for a family in that country.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester is owned by the major hospitality chain Starwood Hotels. The addition of this 14th floor and the new restaurant represents the last stage of the opening.

Other facilities that will be available on that floor include a lounge that can be booked for private events and a bar. There will be nine premium hotel suites too, which will be a mix of interconnecting rooms and sizeable Presidential suites.

The restaurant and all of the other facilities are scheduled to open on 11 June.
