Images released of new hotel at Manchester Airport
The company that is planning to open a brand new hotel at Manchester Airport has released a series of CGI images that show what it will look like.
This hotel will be a branch of the Dakota chain and will have a total of seven floors. When it has been built, it is set to cover a total of 84,000 sq ft at the airport and is intended for people travelling to and from the city. Dakota has already secured the necessary planning permission for this facility, and it is being built at a cost of £55 million.
It will contain 154 rooms plus a range of other amenities for guests. There will be spaces for hosting events, a Champagne Room and dining areas that can be booked for private functions. Further amenities will include a humidor, an outdoor terrace and a bar and grill.
The Group Operations Director for Dakota is Matt Townley. He spoke to Confidentials Manchester after the images were released:
“Officially opening bookings for Dakota Hotel Manchester Airport marks a major milestone for the project and brings us another step closer to our highly anticipated launch.”
He then went on to add that the hotel had been designed in a way that reflected the Dakota brand, but that would also make it suitable for visitors from all over the world.
It is scheduled to open its doors to the public on 1 July.
